Repeat text on a new line
Type or paste a word or line, choose how many times to repeat it, and get each copy on its own line — ready to paste into a spreadsheet column, a checklist, or anywhere else that expects one value per line. The separator below is already set to New line.
Three steps to a repeated line
- Type or paste the line into the Text to repeat box above.
- Leave the separator on New line (the default) and set the repeat count.
- Copy the result with Copy output, or click into the output box and press Ctrl/Cmd + C — focusing it selects everything automatically.
Turn on Number each repetition if you want a numbered list instead of identical unnumbered lines — each line then gets a “1. ”, “2. ” prefix before the text.
When you need lines repeated instead of text repeated in a row
- Pasting into a spreadsheet column. Spreadsheet apps split pasted text on line breaks into separate cells, so a new-line-separated block becomes one value per row automatically.
- A plain-text checklist or to-do skeleton. One line per item, optionally numbered, ready to have the real item text typed in after each line.
- Filling a form field that only accepts one entry per line. Bulk import boxes, tag fields and some config formats read a newline-separated list as multiple entries.
- Log or config test fixtures. A repeated placeholder line, one per row, to pad out a file to a specific line count for testing.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make each repeated copy appear on its own line?
Set the separator dropdown to “New line” — it is the default here — type your text, set how many times to repeat it, and the output box already has each copy on its own line. Copy the result with the Copy output button and paste it wherever you need a column or a list of identical lines.
Can I number each line as I repeat it?
Yes — turn on “Number each repetition” and every line gets a “1. ”, “2. ”, “3. ” prefix in front of the repeated text, in order, which is the layout most numbered lists and checklists expect.
Why would I want the same line repeated instead of just copy-pasting it manually?
Past a handful of copies, manual copy-paste is slow and it is easy to lose count or leave an extra blank line somewhere. Setting an exact repeat count here guarantees the right number of lines every time, which matters when you are pasting into something that expects an exact row count, like a spreadsheet column or a fixed-size template.
Is there a limit on how many lines I can generate?
Output stops growing at 500,000 characters total, always on a whole line rather than a line cut off partway through, and the count field caps at 100,000 repetitions. A note above the output appears if either limit was reached, saying exactly how many lines you got.
